We’re incredibly proud to share that in 2018 we created the PADI Scientific Diver Distinctive Specialty Course, officially approved by PADI. Even better, our instructors are currently the only ones in the world certified to teach this unique course.
This course is designed to inspire divers of all levels to actively protect the ocean while learning how real scientific data is collected underwater. You’ll discover how divers can play a meaningful role in marine research and conservation, helping to preserve fragile ecosystems and reduce human impact.
The program includes knowledge development sessions, presentations, workshops, and four open water training dives. You’ll build confidence underwater, refine your diving skills, and gain a solid introduction to scientific diving. Training focuses on proper buoyancy control, fish identification, and roving survey techniques a commonly used research method for collecting marine data.
